  1. how cute are you? And i love me some air supply
especially making love out of nothing at all…i was so happy as a child when i learned all the words. i was even more happy as teenager when they made sense :)

  2. Loved this! Might have to steal it. I also hate when people ask “how’s the baby”. I never know how to respond – it’s usually great or good or something generic. Do they really want to know that she hasn’t pooped yet today and she’s having trouble going down for her nap, etc.? I think it’s just people ask you that once you have kids instead of asking you how you are. Did that make sense at all?

  3. Oh, my gosh! The Last of the Mohicans is my all-time favorite soundtrack. It’s so dramatic. The best! And my husband said the other day, “We need some Air Supply” after hearing them on a commercial. Indeed, we do.

  4. 2. I am listening to…
a mix of love songs i made about four years ago. includes air supply, anne murray, bryan adams, u2, richard marx, peter gabriel, and theme music from braveheart, ever after and last of the mohicans. i LOVE this love cd.

    Really? Only 4 years ago?
Seriously, though, I love Last of the Mohicans, too. I used to could play that main theme on the fiddle. It really stirs the blood.

    7. I hate it when people ask…
how’s that BABY? i mean, not that i don’t love to talk about her or anything—it’s almost the WAY people ask it. ugh.

I feel the same way unless it’s a fellow parent who asks, like you guys or Luke and Jenny. I think Kim’s right. It’s just what people use to replace “how are you doing” once you fall into the parent category in their minds. It usually takes me a minute to think, “oh I guess this person hasn’t heard the last milestones” and then give them the catch-up: “he’s running around and has 9 teeth and just discovered his penis and thinks that kitties are pillows.”

    4. I am dating…
way too infrequently. maybe two dates in nine months?

I feel like from here on out, all my social interactions will be in the form of playdates. But you’re lucky like us to have grandparents near by. Make them take little Lizard Breath off your hands for a night and make Doug take you to see the new Harry Potter.

    3. I talk…
and it often sounds like a little kid. chunker, anyone?

Awww. I miss Chunker. I wish your Chunker and my Curious George could get together and hang out again.

  5. Great post….I stole it for my own blog. Some days I have no thoughts of my own and need some help.
    Thanks!

  6. So… how’s that BABY? Just kidding. =)

  7. Love the post, and I think I would LOVE your mix CD from #2.

  8. I love that you said “babies are joy-givers!” I just can’t get that out of my head. It makes me smile everytime I think about it during the day – it’s so true!

  9. i love you! this was so much fun to read!!
