and i am SUCH a spineless chicken that i just deleted my last post.
right now they’re all huddled in an office, whispering, and my paranoia got the best of me. if it weren’t for doug’s need for free tuition, i would pull a dooce BIG TIME.
I shouldn’t have done it. Who knows if this will ever be read, but I just wrote (and sent) an email message to one certain well-loved store. For those who think I’m overreacting, please keep in mind that not only did the dreaded red dot start today, but I also cannot breathe out of the right side of my nose, wish someone would lop off my whole aching head, and had close to three (broken up) hours of sleep last night. Guess the store?
I am completely dissatisfied with the length of your online registry; without warning, my registry was simply permanently deleted. I called in disbelief, thinking surely there was a server error; but no, in fact you DO delete registries only 90 days after the event date. This is ridiculous. Apparently you are not interested in any type of follow-up purchases from friends & family, let alone offering the gift registrant one last chance to purchase their registry items. I have been disappointed about a few other things along the way regarding this registry (returns & exchanges, to name some whoppers), but this tops them all. It is not customary of me to write and complain like this, but I thought you might like to know. Perhaps making it CLEAR to future registrants that they will have a very short length of availability to use their registry would be one way you can greatly improve customer service.
